As you guys already know, we open once a week (or that is what we try to do XD) a new thread to talk about a Pokémon. We can talk about the competitive, of what we like about that Pokémon (or not), if we ever used it in the games (so we can share our experiences with that particular Pokémon (if it helped in some way during your battling or not) or to simply share knowledge about that particular Pokémon. This week's Pokémon is Sunflora! Type: Grass Base stats: 75 HP | 75 Atk | 55 Def | 105 Sp. Atk | 85 Sp. Def | 30 Spe Ability: Chlorophyll or Solar Power | Early Bird (HA) EVOLUTION: -> It evolves into Sunflora when exposed to a Sun Stone. Oh my Gosh! This time we have a funny Pokémon from Gen 2 with a sunflower-like design. Maybe it's not powerful but if you played Myster Dungeon you remember that it is a member of the Wigglytuff Guild. Moves: - Leaf Storm/Giga Drain - Earth Power - Hidden Power (Ice or Fire)/Sludge Bomb - Synthesis Item: Life Orb Ability: Solar Power Nature: Modest EVs: 92 HP/ 252 Sp. Atk/ 164 Spe Let's see the stats.... Sunflora has a good Special Attack and a lot of moves but it is still outclassed by other Pokémon (its Defence leave it vulnerable to a lot of physical attackers and its Speed leave it open to be attacked by many attackers, you can choose to add it into a Trick Room team but he still will go down preatty easily due to its defence). Its moveset is interesting: Leaf Storm is the strongest STAB move (but lowers the Special Attack after being used) and Giga Drain is a good option since since it lets Sunflora regain a bit of health and is really accurate. Earth Power allows to hit Fire/Steel-types and Hidden Power allows to damage Grass-types, Flying-types or Ice-types for a super effective damage. Sludge Bomb can be really useful against many Grass/Fairy-types and influct a good amount of damage. Finally, Synthesis is used to restore Sunflora's HP. Did you know that Sunflora shares its category name with Espeon and Volcarona? All of them are known as the Sun Pokémon. But that's not all, Sunflora is Meowth's most frequently used Pokémon disguise in the anime (for now it was used 7 times!!) I never used Sunflora in competitive or in the game but I always liked its design since it's really funny and I liked it in Mystery Dungeon. He is one of those Pokémon that in the game make you smile and its "Oh my Gosh!" was really fun XD And now, let's share our experiences with that particular Pokémon in our games, cool fan artworks (with the source) or anything else!
