This season’s Special format will continue to use rules and regulations as the new Video Game Championship season. Keep refining your team as you prepare for your next big competition. Like in the Video Game Championship season, all Pokémon require the blue pentagon, meaning you cannot bring them into your game via Poké Transporter. Also, all Pokémon above Lv. 50 will be leveled down to Lv. 50 for the duration of the battle.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players will continue to battle against players from only those games in the ΩR/αS League. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players will compete in a separate league against other Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players in the X/Y League.
