What do you think about hacked Pokémon? Do you agree or not?

Sincerly I don't care that much if a Pokémon is hacked or not... if it's hacked I will simply box him foreverasd
And in BW sometimes I used the PokéGen to create some Mytical Pokémon that were difficult to obtain (I never got Keldeo in that generation and had to trade later to have a legit one :yesyes:)

( I was thinking of making this thread right after our little conversation about Wonder Trade :p )
I'm not very fond of hacked Pokémon. As long as they're legit, I'm okay with them tho. But having a Charizard with Hydropump ... bad idea.

Well, a Charizard with Hydropump is fun only in a randomizer :yesyes: (I started a randomizer and got a Gible with Fusion Bolt XDDD ) but not in an official competition :yesyes:

Personally, I don't like... I'd rather do the things (catch, evolve, train) in my own way, even sometimes it means not caught some Pokémon I'd like to have (for example, Vullaby/Mandibuzz, which I never would have caught, as I played the White/White 2 versions of the Unova games).

But, do I think hacked Pokémon are that bad? No. I know some people really enjoy to "test" new Pokémon, or even - as you said above - like to play "randomizers". I just can't agree about using this kind of Pokémon in battles against another (real) trainers, as if this Pokémon were "official".

I don't mind them all too much. Competitive Legendary and mythical Pokemon are extremely difficult to get by soft reset, so players don't have much of a choice if they want to use these Pokemon. I personally own a few genned Pokemon I got from a few giveaways and they've been very helpful.

One thing that needs to be addressed here is that despite having events like the World Championships, the Pokemon company and Game Freak never officially taught players how to create battle-ready Pokemon. Everybody learned it from fanmade sites and simulators. Recently, in ORAS, the developers created a hatching route in the battle resort right next to the judge and the day care, hinting that they know about Pokemon breeding. However, I still think it is their responsibility to create a better way to make competitive Pokemon so that players don't use hacking anymore. I hope the Hyper Training in SM will partially solve this problem.

One thing I don't like is seeing shiny Pokemon in the World Championships. Shiny competitive Pokemon are obviously hacked, and I know hacked Pokemon are not allowed in any tournaments. So to bring shiny Pokemon to tournaments is like bragging that they weren't caught by the rules and saying that they don't care if everyone knows their Pokemon were obtained by unofficial means. They could at least make their team non-shiny and act like they're going by the rules, but for some reason, nobody cares.

I think this is part of why I love Sejun Park's 2014 team so much. No one can be sure if he hacked those Pokemon, but its unlikely since non of them were shiny and none of them were legendaries. I believe it was a truly genuine team.

Like you, I hope that the new Hyper Training will help players to have battle ready Pokémon without cheating :yesyes:

I don't know how many hacked Pokémon they used but I'm sure that at least the Shiny Rayquaza was an event :yesyes: so it's legit... but I really don't want to know how many soft resets they used...
