I have a theory XD I hope I'm right.

Ash is going to the Alola region to go to school, right? However I think it's impossible to make him stay in school for the entire 3 years Sun and Moon is going to be on TV. After all, Pokemon is not a "School-life" anime. Eventually he will have to leave school and travel the Alola region.

That's when a new season is going to start. And that's when we get the XY Ash back XD
I think, only during the "School season," the Pokemon anime will be all childish and fun, like in the trailer.
When the series reaches the issue about Ultra beasts, it will get serious. The art style will get serious too XD

I'm praying for this. Please let this happen XDXDXD

I hope for that too but I think that they will do an extra-lesson or something outside school (but school related)... like:
let's go see the Aether Foundation! -> they go there and something happens (the UB appears) -> return to school when the Aether Foundation arc is complete
