What was the first anime you saw?
I think it was Dragon Ball or Dash! Yonkuro but I don't remember well... I was really little so I don't remember what was the real first one

I can't remember, but I think it was "Knights of the Zodiac" or Dragon Ball.

ooo that's tough. It was either Digimon Season 1, or InuYasha or YuYu Hakusho. Either of those were the very first one I ever watched.

Pokémon and Digimon were my first but in terms of more mature anime (DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, etc.) my first was Elfen Lied! The perfect introduction into anime!

I've watched a lot of Japanese animation through American TV shows when I was young, like Pokemon, digimon, yu-gi-oh and so on.

However the first "anime" I ever watched was Angel Beats.
My friend got me to watch it because he said it had a beautiful story, which it did... but apparently Angel Beats is usually one of the anime that are used to make people get into "anime watching" haha,, so I watched other stuff after that too

Around the 90s I realized what Anime was, but probably would have to say Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon

but, if your talking really early, probably Astro Boy 1980 version re-runs.

Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. (back then anime was so foreign to me and I was unaware of its greatness and potential on me)
Luckily my twin helped ease that confusion, by liking anime also.
