I liked that these episodes! It is interesting to see what they are doing with this now. I enjoyed it because in episode 2 they faced a more "real world" situation, and you could see a different side of what the Pokemon world is really like. Can't wait for more!

I didn't like the first episode that much (please people, don't get angry with me), because it gave me the impression that all the story will be around Red, and I didn't like Red in Pokémon Origjns (please people, don't get angry with me²).

But the second one, well, that episode as really great.

Like you I liked to see what happened after Red defeated Giovanni :yesyes: but at the same time... it was a little strange to see Looker there since in the first generation he didn't exists...

Don't worry, no one will get angry because we are here to talk if we like something or not :yesyes: plus, it's your opinion and you are free to write it here.
Like you, the first episode wasn't that special and it was... disappointing :omg: I liked that there was Red but at the same time I wanted a cameo of the trainers from the games (Gold, Crystal, Brendan and so on). And... Pikachu voice was really strange... I don't like it  (I think they wanted to make Pokémon with animal voices but :cry2:)
About the second episode, like I wrote before, it's strange to see Looker since he was introduced in the games only with gen 4 :search: ok that they want to show us timeless moments but... it don't make much sense for me... I wanted to see a Gary/Blue battle against Giovanni or what happened to Giovanni afer his defeat... Anyway, the second episode was much more interesting than the first one.

About Origins, can I ask you why you don't like that Red?
I liked it really much because it's the first time that we don't have Ash in the anime :yesyes2: :sisi2: plus, Red caught every Pokémon and used a lot of them against the gyms (that was a thing that I really liked!) and had a good development so I enjoyed the anime really much :yesyes2: :sisi2:

It bothered me... Why take Red to Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos? Why don't use the protagonists from those generations?

And... Pikachu voice was really strange... I don't like it  (I think they wanted to make Pokémon with animal voices but :cry2:)
Yeah, even in Pokémon Stadium Pikachu has cooler sound effects. roftl

I don't like Red because, in my opinion, he has no "charisma", no personality, he is just - pardon me for this expression - jerk who want to catch all Kanto Pokémon and that is all, or at least I didn't see anything besides this. I was expecting much more for this character, mostly because of all the fanaticism that I saw about him in the internet... I tried, but I did not like him.

And I agree with you, as an anime, Pokémon Origins is good (I guess), the battles were really nice. But Red? No, I don't like him.

To be honest, I'm not absolutely satisfied with the two episodes we've seen so far.

First, it's a problem that's inevitable due to the short length of the episodes. Each episode shows us too little. Ep. 1 basically shows that Red went through all six regions and even met Zygarde 100%, which we as game players never did. I don't know what the point was for them to show this. Does this mean that we'll see Red's adventure after he beat the Kalos league? It's too difficult to connect or expect it with anything now, and that's uncomfortable to the viewer. Ep 2 was also extremely brief. All we got to see was Looker make a useless effort to break into the Viridian gym where he doesn't even get to meet Giovanni, and the episode ends there. I really can't help but with the episodes were longer :(

Second, is a petty complaint about the art style. It's just not that good. The level of detail is not good enough for my taste, and the characters' expressions aren't as lively as I'd expect them to be. But this is purely just my preference. I'm sure there are those who didn't have a problem with this.

Despite these disappointments, Pokemon Generations seems to have some good charm that we normally aren't able to see anywhere else. The first episode was directed really well by showing the adventure in Pikachu's point of view. Because of this, every scene is interesting, action-packed and exciting. I especially liked the realistic approach they made by making Volcarona's Heat Wave clear instead of they typical fire-type-red, and Pikachu blocking it by flipping a tile using Iron Tail. That was very very impressive. I Also loved how the Pokemon world was realistically depicted in ep.2. Looker, as an international police officer, tracking down crime boss Giovanni made the situation look much more serious that it has ever been shown in the anime. They even have police units that use Pokemon like Machamp, Arcanine and Magnemite that can break through, melt down and hack open barriers in their way. I thought this was a very practical way to team up with Pokemon, which I always love to see.

Something about ep,2 tells me that Game Freak was trying to tell us that the international police was investigating team rocket all the way back since gen 1, even if we never got to see them in the games. Perhaps they're going to use this to connect the stories between the generations.

Anyway, these are my thoughts about Pokemon Generations. I still can't wait to see more episodes !

This episode was really good! But... the battles were really short  we were able to see only one Pokémon with every Elite Four (and a 1 HKO nearly everytime...)

About the battle Red vs Blue, I don't think we will see it because the series only show various timeless moments and this battle is everywhere :yesyes2: :sisi2: (Origins, games...)
So, now they finished the Kanto saga (or is there something else to add??) so maybe next week we will see Johto? :suspect:

The third episode... Well, it was quite interesting.

But, unlike you guys, I think they (producers) will give us a battle between Blue and Red, 'cause I'm quite sure that many fans are waiting for more than anything else in this series.

And, I agree with @unownzone about the voice actors, they are really great, I just hope they keep the great "voice acting" for the next generations.

I really want to see that battle but like I wrote before, we already have watched it in Origins... so I don't think they will waste an episode for that

Well, it wasn't a half bad... But, why the Team Rocket grunts walk so oddly (1:30)? :uhmm:
They are possessed by some spirits! XD That's why Lance exorcise them! roftlroftl

Like you the episode wasn't that bad... I liked that they added Gold in it (we will never see Cryustal, right?) but... I don't like that Lance made escape those Electrode... in the game it's the player that free them... so why change like this the episode?? :uhmm::uhmm: And... it's the player that catch the Shiny Gyarados so why is it free in the end? :uhmm:

Yeah, the Electrodes, for a moment I thought "Am I delirious, or in the game I was the one who freed them?".

I also thought that Gold would appear and catch the red Gyarados in the end. :omg:

And... don't forget that Lance's Dragonite in Mahogany Town (games) uses Hyper Beam to break into Team Rocket's HQ :yeahyeah: while here is a simple Fire Punch... :argh2:
(And, :suspect: someone noticed that Dragonite has 8 moves: Fire Punch, Flamethrower, Slam, Safeguard, Thunderbolt, Strength, Mega Punch and Mega Kick (maybe the last 3 are normal attacks but still...))

Or maybe Lance swapped his Dragonites behind the cameras. asd

:uhmm: maaaaybe? But we will never know asd
Pokémon are limited to knowing 4 moves only because of the games. The main series anime started following this rule too but that doesn't mean generations has to be handicapped too. Generations is a more realistic approach to a Pokémon animation so I think Pokémon knowing more than 4 moves makes more sense.
