Manga What device do you read manga on?

Of course, reading the physical books are the best. However, there are too many cases when we can't obtain the manga, so we often end up relying on scan sites. This is the case with myself as well, and I've recently found that reading scans on different devices felt very different.

I have several volumes of Pokemon Special, and reading the books are always the best way to read manga because they are light and easy on the eyes.

Because I can't get all the books, I used to read scans on a desktop. I had no problem with it at the time. However for some reason, reading manga on my laptop these days is kind of uncomfortable.

Of course, I tried reading with my smartphone. It is the worst because the screen is so small! I really don't like having to zoom into the pages to see the text.

Finally, I once tried reading on a tablet PC and it was actually pretty great! Because the screen size is big enough, you don't have to zoom. Also, unlike a laptop, it is convenient to hold.

So what's your experience with reading manga?

I used to collect a lot of physical manga but now I don't have space anymore XDD (and the price sometimes is terrible ) so I prefer to read them scans on the pc or on my tablet (when I read on my tablet I'm used to read manga whrn I'm eating )

That will be amazing XD but my bookshelves are filled with Gundam models, some action figures and a lot of Pokémon things XDD
(and my desktop/table is full of Pokémon plush, Pokémon amiibo and so on XDD)

I found another disadvantage of reading manga on electic devices. The scans often have low quality translations. I can't help but think that officially publish manga books are the best way to read them

That's because some of them are really old and difficult to find while the new scans are really clean and great to read on everywhere.
Usually when the scans are old I read them on my pc because I have a good resolution with my monitor while if the scans are new I read them on pc or on my tablet
About the translation, if I can read an old series that can't be find anywhere I'm happy to read it with whatever translation I can find so I really don't care about official ones of fan made ones (sometimes I like the fan made ones becuase they try to be more close to the original ones)

I keep noticing grammar mistakes, inconsistency in how names are spelled, and phrases that sound awkward in English. I'm grateful that even this is out there so I can read it, but there are a few drawbacks like these that I can't ignore.

Well, I don't go looking into manga as much as you, so I've never really found scans with bad resolution or anything.

The scans of 666 Satan and Mahoujin Guru Guru sometimes were horribile... (I dropped 666 Satan for some time because the quality was really horribile )

I noticed many grammar mistakes with Toriko at the beginning of the manga... I think that's because some translators don't have a team that look for grammar mistakes (and anyway, I'm glad that someone translate various not published manga or we won't be able to read them).
Sometimes official and fanmade ones are really different, there's a character in Toriko that is called "Sani" at the beginning but after some time they started using the official translation (so now he is "Sunny") but I never cared too much XD
