Since we are a Pokémon community, I thought of opening a weekly thread to talk about a Pokémon. We can talk about the competitive, of what we like about that Pokémon (or not), if we ever used it in the games (so we can share our experiences with that particular Pokémon: it helped in some way during your battling or not or to simply share knowledge about that particular Pokémon.
This week, our user @unownzone asked for this Pokémon! So, here's this week Pokémon!
You know this queen? This queen is famous for its long, striking legs used to kick enemies. And not only that, in victory, her majesty shows off by kicking the defeated, laughing boisterously. Truly a fearsome queen, right?
There's also a lot of moveset for her majesty so you can choose what strategy use:
Moves:
- U-turn
- High Jump Kick
- Trop Kick
- Play Rough/Rapid Spin
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Queenly Majesty
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk | 4 Sp. Def | 252 Spe
The first set is totally offensive. Trop Kick is a new Grass type attack and a reliable STAB move (the move also lowers the target's Attack stat). High Jump Kick and Play Rough provide a great coverage to Tsareena.
U-Turn can be used to take her majesty out of difficult situations and Rapid Spin can be used to remove all the hazards.
Priority moves are stopped by Tsareena's ability, Queenly Majesty, so you need to use a lot of attention when playing her majesty because its low Speed leaves it outsped by a significant portion of offensive Pokémon who can easily KO it.
Moves:
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- U-turn
- Trop Kick
Item: Light Clay
Ability: Queenly Majesty
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk | 4 Sp. Def | 252 Spe
This set is based on Light Screen (that's why you give the item Light Claw that extend the duration of Light Screen from 5 to 8 turns) and stay to attack the opponent with Trop Kick. Or you can simply retreat with U-Turn.
And there's a lot of others movesets for her majesty and you can create a good strategy to use Tsareena (remember that its outsped by a significant portion of offensive Pokémon who can easily KO it).
I personally never used her in a competitive battle... for now I caught one for my Livingdex but for now I don't think I'll use her majesty because there's some other Pokémon that I like to use much more.
And now, let's share our experiences with that particular Pokémon in our games, cool fan artworks (with the source) or anything else!
